Anyways I am not giving up - I read this amazing book over the weekend - The Brain that changes itself -- where there is this amazing story about a Russian doctor - and his lines are -- WE SEE WITH OUR MIND AND BRAIN AND NOT WITH OUR EYES.. Wasn't exactly the same this said by Dr Bates over a 100 years ago? Enough talk.. back to practicing Bates method - which is not doing eye exercises but conditioning the mind so that the brain is capable of seeing again.
Why eye exercises keep your brain young

Hi, I discovered your blog by reference recently and read a few posts... It's amazing how many stupid things you are doing. Still doing, after about two years after learning about Dr. Bates method! Why for good sake you keep going to "optometrists", passing useless tests and following their advices? Not only you are wasting your time and money, you also going exactly the opposite direction in your treatment. It is apparent that you have not understood anything from the book. Sorry, couldn't stand remarking.
Hi,
I think it's fine and good that you are working with an opthalmologist, Dr. Bates was after all, an opthalmologist. Have you read his magazine articles about glaucoma? You can find them for free on central-fixation.com and they go into more detail and case studies than in the book. On my blog I discussed the palming, central fixation, and shifting chapters of the book recently, perhaps you can read over those for some ideas of things to kick start your Bates practice again.
You will read in Dr. Bates's book and his magazine articles that he and his assistant Emily showed compassion to all of their patients, and this helped their improvement a lot. Is it possible to find a kind Bates method teacher near you, or ask a friend to join you in practicing the method together to provide support?
Best wishes,
